Learn about the meanings behind the stained glass in our East Window in a talk by historian Pat Cullum as part of the Festival of Ideas

Medieval stained glass was a sophisticated medium, capable of conveying a variety of meanings. Historian Pat Cullum builds on older and new interpretations of the East Window of Holy Trinity, Goodramgate to consider its devotional, communal and commemorative purposes. Find out more about the marvellous stained glass donated in the early 1470s by the Reverend John Walker, rector of the church.

About the speaker

Dr Pat Cullum studied at the University of York before a career teaching medieval history and researching late medieval gender, piety and the church, latterly at the University of Huddersfield. She is now a Senior Volunteer at Holy Trinity, Goodramgate.
