National Trust Gift Shop

A high street shop with a difference — in a most intriguing location.

Browse a wide range of bespoke National Trust goods

Next door to the last remaining entrance of the Minster precinct, with timbers dating back to the late 12th century is the large National Trust high street shop. The building was donated to the charity in 1930 by York’s Frank Green, alongside other city centre properties and nearby Treasurer's House.

Today a surprisingly airy space with unique ranges inspired by some of the places in the care of the charity, alongside locally sourced and crafted products. Profits from your purchases support conservation work in and around York. Thank you!
